Process Capabilities

Jingxin Precision owns complete vacuum casting workshop with vacuum degassing & pouring equipment. The max part dimension reaches 1000 mm. One silicone mold can produce multiple pieces in one batch. Fine textures, logos and complex undercut features can be perfectly replicated.

Basic Vacuum Casting Processes

Extended / Precision Processes

Silicone Mold Fabrication: Based on master prototype(CNC / 3D printed), produce vacuum-degassed silicone mold to copy all surface details.

Vacuum Pouring: Inject liquid PU resin under vacuum environment to eliminate internal bubbles and voids.

Curing & Demolding: Room-temperature or heating curing, demold, remove sprues and flash.

Post-processing: Sanding, polishing, painting, texture coating, printing and assembly.

Available PU resin options: ABS-like, PP-like, PC-like, transparent PMMA-like, rubber-like flexible PU, flame-retardant grade resin.

Applicable Project Stages

Vacuum casting serves multiple phases of new-product development

Proof of Concept

Rapid cosmetic prototypes for internal review, design iteration and appearance demonstration.

Functional Validation

Simulate plastic mechanical performance for preliminary assembly & non-destructive functional test. Not fit for high-load long-term fatigue testing.

Assembly Validation

Verify part fit-up, clearance and assembly interference; check ergonomics and assembly sequence.

Appearance Samples

High-finish samples for exhibition, marketing photos and customer demo, available with painting, texture and logo marking.

Small-Batch Pilot Production

Suitable for quantities of 10-50 pieces, avoid expensive injection mold investment and support fast market response.

Bridging Mass Production

Supply transitional small batches while formal injection molds are being manufactured, guarantee smooth product launch.

Materials Capabilities

We support wide range of polyurethane resins simulating mainstream engineering-plastic properties.

Simulated Rigid Plastics

ABS-like, PC-like, PP-like, PMMA transparent-like, PBT-like, flame-retardant-grade resin.

Flexible / Elastomer Materials

Shore A 20-90 flexible rubber-like PU, soft-touch resin, high-elasticity material.

Tolerances and Surface Quality

Dimensional Tolerances

Standard tolerance: ±0.3 mm

Precision tolerance: ±0.15 mm

Note: Accuracy is influenced by master prototype precision and silicone mold shrinkage. Dimensional deviation increases after 25 copies from one silicone mold.

Angular tolerance

±0.7°

Surface Quality

Part surface inherits finish of master prototype.

Fine master prototype: Ra 1.6-3.2 μm

After polishing & spraying: achieve high-gloss / matte cosmetic surface comparable to injection-molded parts.

Post-treatment and Surface Finishing Services

To satisfy diverse application requirements, we provide full-range post-treatment options.

Polishing

Polishing

From matte fine polish to high-gloss mirror polish.

Painting & Spraying

Painting & Spraying

Matte / gloss painting, color-coating, UV coating.

Pad Printing / Screen Printing

Logo, text and pattern printing.

Bonding & Assembly

Gluing, fastener installation and complete product assembly.

Process Selection Guide

When to Choose Vacuum Casting?

Choose vacuum casting when you need:

Low-volume cosmetic plastic parts (10-50 pcs), no expensive hard tooling.

Complex geometry with deep undercuts and fine surface textures.

Transparent parts, soft rubber-like parts or special-effect appearance samples.

Fast turnaround marketing samples before injection molds completion.

Consider CNC Machining when your parts:

Require strict dimensional accuracy, real metal / engineering plastic raw material, high mechanical strength, batch size over 50 pcs.

Consider 3D Printing when your parts:

Only 1-5 units needed, extremely complex internal structures, tolerance requirement is loose.

Consider Injection Molding when you need:

Quantities above 1000 pieces, design finalized, pursue lowest unit cost for mass production.

Vacuum Casting Design Guidelines

To optimize your design and reduce cost, we recommend following these principles:

Minimum Wall Thickness: ≥1.5 mm; flexible PU ≥2 mm. Avoid wall thickness over 6 mm, risk of internal bubbles and long curing cycle.

Wall-thickness Consistency: Prevent sharp thickness variation; uneven wall causes sink mark, shrinkage and part warpage.

Minimum Hole Diameter: ≥2 mm; tiny holes are better machined by post-drilling.

Internal Corners: Minimum inner radius R0.5 mm; sharp corners trap bubbles and create stress concentration.

Undercuts: Small-medium undercuts are achievable thanks to silicone flexibility; large deep undercuts need complex split-mold and raise cost.

Draft Angle: Suggest ≥1° for smooth demolding from silicone mold.
